FROM POLAND, WITH LOVE

I tell stories using the medium of film. I’ve had a love of film making since I was young, and today, I enjoy nothing more than to tell stories using moving images. I specialize in creating narratives from pre-existing features, combining different characters together on-screen using editing tricks and image manipulation.

I’m currently a student at the Icelandic Film School in the Creative Technology department.

RECENT PROJECTS

ASSISTANT EDITOR ON DANCING LINES

My most recent project is as an assistant editor to Heimir Bjarnason on the feature documentary Dancing Lines, which follows artists Karl Guðmundsson, produced by Urus Parvus and directed by Friðrik Þór Friðriksson. My role includes the overview and categorization of archival footage, and the assembly of preliminary edits for certain scenes in the film.
It has been an honor to get to participate in a feature project, to learn more about the post-production process and to get to known Icelandic Film School graduate Heimir Bjarnason.
WISE WOMEN FOR JONAA / ERASMUS

Produced and edited an educational series on online marketing and branding for the Journal of the North Atlantic and Arctic, in collaboration with CIE, a Polish-based center of innovative education, and the European Union. I was in charge of preparing educational material for in-person and online classes for 10 weeks. Online classes were in film-based educational content uploaded to YouTube. The challenge for me was to create fun, aesthetically pleasing, and informative videos that would be easy for the participants to consume. The WISE project was a success furthermore once the reviews from the participants came in, it confirmed it. Here are some reviews from it:

CREW VIDEO FOR DRIVING MUM

I had the honor and pleasure of making a short video commemorating the production of Á Ferð með Mömmu (Driving Mum). Supervising and delivering the material was the product of Ursus Parvus - Vilborg Einardotir. After the film awards ceremony, Eddan published the video on verified Ursus Parvus's social media sites.
